Call summary
Digital EU invites proposals for its call on EU secure quantum communication infrastructure. This supports projects that contribute to the deployment of a secure quantum communication infrastructure spanning the whole EU, including its overseas territories. The total budget is €154 million, which may be increased by up to 20 per cent. Grants are worth up to €15m each for up to 30 months.
Scientific scope
The call covers the following topics:
•DIGITAL-2021-QCI-01-DEPLOY-NATIONAL deploying advanced national quantum communication infrastructure systems and networks;
•DIGITAL-2021-QCI-01-EUROQCI-QKD coordinate the first deployment of national EuroQCI projects and prepare the large-scale quantum key distribution testing and certification infrastructure;
•DIGITAL-2021-QCI-01-INDUSTRIAL create a European industrial ecosystem for secure QCI technologies and systems.
PI eligibility
Applicants must be legal entities established in EU member states or European Economic Area countries.
