Call summary

Innovate UK and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund and the digital security by design challenge, invites applications for the software ecosystem development call. This supports projects that work to enrich and expand the digital security by design software ecosystem prior to the availability of commercial hardware. Projects will leverage the digital security by design technology hardware prototype, also known as Morello board, to work on a focused area within a selected and specified software stack or an operating system (OS) or a developer toolchain used by a digital system. The total budget is £8 million. Grants are worth between £200,000 and £1.4m. For research organisation-led projects, 100 per cent of project costs can be claimed at 80 per cent of full economic costs. Industry-led projects may receive up to 80 per cent of eligible project costs.
