Call summary
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites applications for its hydrogen research coordinator call. This enables researchers to build a multidisciplinary hydrogen research consortium, network within their research community and develop a research programme for a potential future research centre. Coordinators will partner with academic, industry and government organisations to define and achieve a shared vision and develop an agenda for potential future activity, coordinate networking activity and provide advice and recommendations. The total budget is £700,000 to fund two grants, each worth up to £350,000 for a maximum period of six months.
Scientific scope
Two roles are available:
•coordinator for research challenges in hydrogen and alternative liquid fuels;
•coordinator for systems integration of hydrogen and alternative liquid fuels.
PI eligibility
UK-based researchers based at UK higher education institutions, research council institutes, UKRI-approved independent research organisations, public sector research establishments or NHS bodies with research capacity may apply. They must hold a fixed-term contract at their institution that extends beyond the duration of the proposed project; be employed at a level equivalent to lecturer or above; hold an EPSRC, Royal Society or Royal Academy of Engineering fellowship aimed at later career stages; or hold fellowships under other schemes. Holders of postdoctoral-level fellowships are not eligible.
