Call summary

UKRI, through the UK research councils, invite applications for its inform design of cross-council digital research environments call. This supports projects which intend to inform the design of a digital research infrastructure to connect sensitive data from across the research councils. The total budget is £2 million. The full economic cost of the project may be up to £400,000. Funding cover up to 80 per cent of the full economic cost for HEIs, NHS bodies, independent research organisations, public sector research establishments and academic health sciences networks and centres. Funding covers up to 100 per cent for SMEs and non-profit research technology organisations and research council institutes.

PI eligibility

All proposals must be be led by a recognised research organisation, which should be UK-based, such as an HEI, institute or unit funded by UKRI research councils, NHS body, independent research organisations, academic health sciences networks and centres or public sector research establishment. At least one of the senior investigators must have a strong track record of grant support or research and innovation outputs.
