Call summary
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invite applications for its research the production and integration of zero carbon hydrogen call. This supports the developments of solutions that aim to advance zero emission hydrogen production, and address challenges in integrating hydrogen into whole energy systems. Hydrogen and hydrogen-based, low-carbon liquid fuels are essential for the UK to reach net-zero greenhouse gases by 2050. The total budget is £2 million. Grants are worth up to £250,000 each and may last 18 months.
Scientific scope
Proposals must focus on one of the following priority areas:
•zero emission hydrogen production technologies, with a focus on the production of hydrogen through electrolysis powered by renewable energy;
•hydrogen integration.
PI eligibility
UK-based researchers at HEIs, research council institutes, UKRI-approved independent research organisations, public sector research establishments and NHS bodies with research capacity may apply.
