Call summary
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites applications for its open and open plus fellowships. These support research focusing on any topic in the EPSRC portfolio. There is no limit on how much funding can be requested. EPSRC covers 80 per cent of the full economic costs. Fellowships are tenable for up to five years.
Scientific scope
Projects can use one or a combination of:
▪discovery science;
▪innovation;
▪instrumentation and technique development;
▪software engineering.
PI eligibility
Applicants must hold a PhD or have worked in a relevant field for at least four years by the start date of your fellowship.
Fellowships are tenable at UK HEIs, research council institutes, UKRI-approved independent research organisations and NHS bodies with research capacity.
