Call summary
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites applications for its doctoral prize. This helps universities retain and recruit the best PhD students receiving EPSRC support to increase the impact of their PhD, and to improve retention of the very best students in research careers. Awards may last up to two years. The scheme is funded through the doctoral training partnership allocation and individual award holders should be funded from one DTP only.

PI eligibility
Any student who has recently received support for their PhD studies from EPSRC in the form of fees or stipend is eligible. They must have submitted their thesis, and ideally completed their viva, before the doctoral prize support begins. Award holders should have a mentor who is not their former supervisor. Applicants must contact the university of their choice directly and the awarding university is responsible for administering all aspects of the award.
