Call summary

The Science and Technology Facilities Council invites applications for its innovations partnership scheme grants. These aim to transfer technology and expertise developed through STFC funding to the marketplace in partnership with industry and other academic disciplines. Grants are worth up to £360,000 at 80 per cent of full economic costs over up to three years. The project partner should provide financial or in-kind contributions to the project.

PI eligibility

Lead applicants must be academic members of staff at lecturer or equivalent level, or hold a fellowship won through open competition, and employed by an approved UK HEI, research council institute or independent research organisation eligible for UKRI funding. They must demonstrate that the science, technology and expertise involved originated from the STFC core science programme or the STFC facilities and laboratories, CERN, European Southern Observatory or European Synchrotron Radiation Facility, and should be current or past grant-holders of core research grants or studentships. They must have a linked project partner from industry or other non-academic institutions, such as government departments, charities or NHS foundations. The organisation should have a strong presence and benefit the UK economy, but may be based overseas.
