Call summary
The Science and Technology Facilities Council and the Royal Observatory in Edinburgh, supported by the University of Edinburgh, European Space Agency, UK Space Agency and CERN, invite applications for their support for start-ups – Higgs Centre for Innovation opportunity. This offers start-up companies direct access to world-leading scientists, engineers and big data experts in space-related technology and big data analytics. The programme provides a package of incentive funding to be used to accelerate product and service development and business support, access to networking events and technical support.

PI eligibility
Applicants must be UK-registered start-ups or early-stage businesses, that are less than five years old. They may be independent, such as in the case where the founders own more than 50 per cent of the company. They must have a demonstrable connection to space, particle-physics, or another STFC discipline, including big data or data analytics and astronomy.
