Call summary
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSR) invites applications for its develop new manufacturing instrumentation call. This supports novel research into the development of novel manufacturing instrumentation to improve existing processes and develop new capabilities. The new instruments must reach laboratory standards and should help solve a manufacturing challenge. The total budget is £10 million and projects may last for up to three years. Equipment over £10,000 in value is available through this call.

PI eligibility
UK higher education institutions, research council institutes, UKRI-approved independent research organisations, eligible public sector research establishments and NHS bodies with research capacity may apply as the submitting organisation. PIs or co-investigators may apply if they are resident in the UK and meet at least one of the criteria:are employed at the submitting research organisation at lecturer level or equivalent; hold a fixed-term contract that extends beyond the duration of the proposed project, and the host research organisation is prepared to give you all the support normal for a permanent employee; hold an EPSRC, Royal Society or Royal Academy of Engineering fellowship aimed at later career stages; hold fellowships under other schemes.
