Call summary
The Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, under the Global Research Outreach Programme, invites proposals for its academic research collaboration platform. This enables universities to work on novel ideas in collaboration with the institute’s R&D teams to foster technology innovation. Projects are funded for one year, with the possibility to extend to up to three years. Grants are typically worth up to USD 150,000 per year each.
Scientific scope
The 2021 call seeks innovative research proposals in the following topics:
•novel analog device for energy efficient computing;
•3D monolithic integration;
•bio-inspired vision and imaging technologies;
•machine intelligence;
•neural scene representation;
•advanced metrology and inspection technology for semicon fabrication process;
•fundamental technology for semicon equipment;
•6G communication and sensing;
•organic photodiode with triplet state;
•CO2 capturing and utilisation.
PI eligibility
Applicants must be a university professors or researchers.
