Call summary
The American Physical Society invites nominations for its medal for exceptional achievement in research. This recognises contributions that advance the knowledge and understanding of the physical universe in all its facets. It aims to celebrate scientific inquiry and the pursuit of knowledge. The award includes a prize of USD 50,000, a certificate, an allowance for travel to the APS medal ceremony and an invited talk at an APS March or April meeting.

Candidates of any nationality and working in any subfield of physics may be nominated. The award may be shared by up to three recipients. Self-nominations are not permitted.
