Call summary
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites applications for its cross-cutting research for exascale software and algorithms call. This supports research on issues that impact the development of exascale software and algorithms. Up to five awards are available. The total budget is £5 million. Grants are worth between £900,000 and £1 million.
Scientific scope
This should address one of the following cross-cutting research themes in algorithms and supercomputers:
▪future computing paradigms;
▪coupling;
▪verification, validation and uncertainty quantification;
▪domain-specific languages.
PI eligibility
Researcher at a UK HEI, research institute, or independent research organisation accredited by UKRI. Applicants may be from any area of the UK research community. They need not be a researcher working within EPSRC’s remit.
