Call summary
Innovate UK, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Department for International Trade and the Advanced Propulsion Centre, under the Automotive Transformation Fund, invite applications for their call on moving the UK automotive sector to zero emissions. This supports commercially led research and development in the design of elements of the electric automotive supply chain. The budget is worth up to £7 million. Individual grants are worth up to £1m and must start on or after the 1 April 2021. Funding covers up to 70 per cent of eligible costs.

PI eligibility
The lead organisation must be a UK registered business, a research and technology organisation or a research institution. They may collaborate with other UK organisations and carry out project work in the country. Academic institutions cannot lead or work alone.
