Projects should demonstrate forward-looking and disruptive solutions to UK civil aerospace challenges. This is phase 1 of a two-phase competition. Grants are worth between £210,000 and £1,050,000 at up to 70 per cent full economic costs for between one and three years. The proportion of funding provided for total eligible costs depends on organisation type.

•vehicles;
•propulsion and power;
•advanced systems;
•aerostructures;
•cross-cutting enablers.

The lead and at least one other organisation must claim funding, but projects can include partners that do not receive funding. Projects must include a UK registered SME, have a credible route to market and identify end-users. Proposals should carry out and intend to exploit the results from or in the UK.
