Call summary
The European Commission Horizon 2020: Excellent Science, under the future and emerging technologies work programme, and the European Innovation Council invite proposals for their H2020-FETOPEN-2018-2019-2020 novel ideas for radically new technologies call. This supports projects that lay the foundations for radically new future technologies of any kind from visionary interdisciplinary collaborations that dissolve the traditional boundaries between sciences and disciplines, including the social sciences and humanities. Each successful proposal is expected to receive up to €3 million, although proposals for other amounts will also be considered. The total indicative budget is worth €637m.

PI eligibility
Proposals may take the form of research and innovation actions, which require participation by at least three legal entities; each established in a different EU member state or Horizon 2020 associated country. Legal entities established in a third country, who secure their own funding, may be included in the consortia.
