Call summary
Applications are now invited for access to the Artemis laser facility at the Central Laser Facility (CLF) (Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) Rutherford Appleton Laboratory). Experiments using the 1 kHz system will be scheduled from September 2024 to March 2025. Experiments using the 100 kHz system are backlogged and will be scheduled December 2024 to June 2025.
In this round, all access weeks are funded by STFC. All proposals must have at least one co-investigator who is a permanent member of staff at a UK academic institution.
The fourteen weeks available include up to four weeks funded by Laserlab-Europe. The remaining weeks will be funded by STFC

Eligibility Note Laserlab-Europe funding requires that the principal investigator and the majority of other investigators be located outside the UK. STFC funding, by contrast, applies to proposals in which at least one co-investigator is a permanent member of staff at a UK academic institution.
