Call summary
The Academy of Medical Sciences, the Royal Society and the British Academy invite applications for their Newton advanced fellowships for China. These provide established researchers based in China with an opportunity to develop the research strengths and capabilities of their research group through training, collaboration and reciprocal visits with a UK partner. Fellowships are worth up to £37,000 per year for up to three years and provide a salary top up, research support, travel and subsistence and training.

PI eligibility
Researchers based in China must have completed a PhD or equivalent research experience and must hold a permanent or fixed-term contract in a university, academic research organisation, publicly funded or non-profit research institution that spans the duration of the project. They must have no more than 15 years of postdoctoral research experience. Co-applicants must be independent academic researchers based in the UK with a permanent or fixed term contract in a university or eligible research organisation for the duration of the project. Collaborations should focus on a single project.
