Call summary
Innovate UK, through the Small Business Research Initiative and the Advanced Propulsion Centre, invites expressions of interest for its automotive transformation fund. These support R&D and capital projects that help industrialise the electrified automotive supply chain at scale in the UK. Each application can focus on R&D only, capital investment only or both. Proposals must prioritise the scale up in areas mentioned in the automotive transformation strategy, which includes batteries, motors and drives, power electronics, fuel cell and recycling of any of these technologies. The proportion of funding provided depends on organisation and project type.

PI eligibility
Lead organisations must be a UK registered business of any size and may collaborate with other UK registered businesses, academic institutions, charities, public sector organisations or research and technology organisations. They must carry out the project work in the UK and exploit the results from or in the UK.
