Call summary
Heart Research UK invites applications for its novel and emerging technology grant. Grants are worth up to £250,000. Funding for PhD studentships may also be provided, including a stipend worth up to £16,000 per year, the annual tuition fees and up to £5,000 per year for research consumables.
Scientific scope
This supports research on novel and emerging technologies and new applications of existing technologies to diagnose, treat and prevent heart disease and related conditions. Supported approaches include:
•tissue and bioengineering;
•development and evaluation of new diagnostic and therapeutic devices;
•bioimaging;
•nanotechnology;
•biomaterials;
•genomic and proteomic approaches;
•computational biology;
•bioinformatics.
PI eligibility
The principal applicant must be in a tenured position at the host institution. They must be graduates or hold a suitable professional qualification.
