Call summary

Diamond Light Source invites proposals for its rapid access to selected beamlines and electron microscope. This provides candidates with quick and urgent access to one of the following beamlines: eBIC, E01, E02, MX (I03,I04, I04-1), XChem, I05, I06, B07-C, I08, I11, I13-1, I13-2, I15, I15-1, B16, B18, I18, I19, B21, I21, B22, B23, I23, B24 and I24. In steady state 80 per cent of beamtime is available to external users and 20 per cent beamline for in-house research. Industrial users may have up to 10 per cent of the beamtime allocated to external users, with only 30 per cent available per beamtime. Funding available depends on the location of the applicant.

Scientific scope
