Call summary
The Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology, under the Global Research Outreach Programme, invites proposals for its academic research collaboration platform. This enables universities to work on novel research academic research collaboration platform. ideas in collaboration with the institute’s R&D teams to foster technology innovation. Projects are funded for one year, with the possibility to extend to up to three years.
Scientific scope
The 2020 call seeks innovative research proposals in the following topics:
•cryogenic computing;
•metaphotonics;
•next generation DRAM/NAND;
•functional oxide;
•new quantum dot;
•new light sensitive materials;
•privacy preserving computing;
•machine intelligence;
•6G communication systems;
•semiconductor equipment;
•bulk acoustic wave.
PI eligibility
World-class university researchers may apply. There are no limits on the number of proposals that can be submitted by one university. Joint proposals from multiple universities are also welcome.
