Call summary

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites applications for its access to high performance computing call. This enables researchers to apply for computational resource from EPSRC funded high performance computing services to support research projects from across EPSRC’s remit. The services available are ARCHER2, the upcoming tier-1 national supercomputer accessible to EPSRC research communities, and most of EPSRC’s tier-2 HPC services, including Isambard, NI-HPC, JADE, Cirrus, NICE, CSD3 and HPC Midlands Plus. Projects can run for up to one year.

PI eligibility

Applicants must be resident in the UK and academic employees at lecturer or equivalent level at a UK HEI, research institute or independent research organisation. Research technical professionals, including research software engineers, are considered as academic employees and thus eligible to be PI or co-investigator. Students wishing to access the resources must seek an eligible PI to apply on their behalf. Each applicant is limited to being an investigator on at most one proposal to tier-1 and at most one proposal to tier-2.
