Call summary
The Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council invites applications for its responsive mode industrial partnership awards. These support academic-led research projects in collaboration with industry, where industrial partners contribute in cash funding. BBSRC will award 80% of the full economic costs of your research, and your organisation must agree to find the balance. Projects can range in size up to £2 million and last up to five years.

Eligibility Note The company partner should be registered in the UK or have a UK R&D or manufacturing site. Where a suitable company cannot be found in the UK, an overseas company may be used. However, such collaborations are judged on a case by case basis, and clear justification must be provided.
In order for an application to be eligible under the IPA scheme, industry partners must make a cash contribution that is at least equivalent to 10% of the balance of the project costs minus the industry contribution.
