Call summary

This aims to significantly improve the UK’s space weather monitoring and forecasting capabilities, especially mitigating those risks with the highest potential for economic and societal impact. This includes the growing dependence on space-based systems for communications, global positioning and time-keeping. The total budget is worth £8.7 million over three years.

PI eligibility

The principal investigator must be resident in the UK and an academic employee at the lecturer or equivalent level at an eligible organisation, which may be a higher education institution, a research institute funded by a research council or an independent research organisation.
