Call summary
The European Commission Horizon 2020: Industrial Leadership and the ECSEL Joint Undertaking invite proposals for their H2020-ECSEL-2020-1-IA-two-stage innovation action call. This supports activities aiming at pilot lines and test beds, demonstrators, innovation pilots and zones of full-scale testing, to produce plans and arrangements or designs for new, altered or improved products, processes, methods, tools or services. The total budget is worth €93 million. Grants are worth up to €25 million each at a 50 per cent co-funding rate for up to three years.
Scientific scope
Proposals may address the following topics:
•transport and smart mobility;
•health and wellbeing;
•energy;
•digital industry;
•digital life;
•systems and components – architecture, design and integration;
•connectivity and interoperability;
•safety, security and reliability;
•computing and storage;
•process technology, equipment, materials and manufacturing or electronic components and systems.
PI eligibility
Proposals may take the form of innovation actions, which require participation by at least three legal entities; each established in a different EU member state or Horizon 2020 associated country. All three legal entities must be independent of each other. The consortium must be industrial and may consist of large and small-medium enterprises as well as universities, institutes and public organisations. Projects may have up to 90 participants.
