Call summary
Innovate UK, through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, invites expressions of interest for round one of its commercialising quantum technology – technology projects call. This supports projects that address technological barriers to the commercial or industrial exploitation of quantum technologies in the UK. Up to £30 million is available to support projects with total eligible costs of between £4m and £20m over 18 to 36 months. Grants are worth up to £10m each.
Scientific scope
Projects must focus on one or more of the following technical barriers:
•connectivity;
•situational awareness;
•computing.
Projects must also exploit second generation quantum techniques and demonstrate how the technological advance will accelerate the commercialisation and industrialisation of quantum technologies in the UK.
PI eligibility
Project leads must be a UK registered business of any size and must collaborate with other businesses, research organisations, research and technology organisations, public sector organisations or charities. RTOs may lead in exceptional circumstances, but they must collaborate with two or more businesses.
