Call summary

The Science and Technology Facilities Council invites applications for its nucleus awards for public engagement with STFC's programme. This supports high quality programmes of public engagement that inspire and involve target audiences with stories of STFC science, technology and facilities. Award holders may also use Nucleus awards to create and sustain public engagement networks that develop communities of practice. Proposed engagement programmes must either clearly focus on the remit of the STFC science programme or clearly and demonstrably align to the science and technology work of STFC's national and international laboratories and facilities. The total budget is £400,000. The full economic cost of your project can be up to £125,000. We will fund 80% of the full economic cost (FEC). (Forecasted date for next call).

Scientific scope

STFC's remits are astronomy, solar and planetary science, particle physics, particle astrophysics, cosmology, nuclear physics, and accelerator science.
