Call summary
The English-Speaking Union invites applications for the Lindemann Trust fellowships. These enable postdoctoral scientists who have shown promise and capacity to produce original research in both pure and applied physical sciences to carry out research at a host institution in the US. The subject areas eligible are defined broadly to include all areas of the physical sciences and mathematics, as well as their interfaces with the life sciences. Up to five fellowships, each worth USD 50,000 per year over two years, plus £1,000 towards each fellow’s airfare are available. (Forecasted date for next year's call).

PI eligibility
Applicants must be British, Irish or Commonwealth citizens, normally resident in the UK. They must be in the final stages of doctoral studies at a UK university or have completed a doctorate at a UK university within the last three academic years. Successful fellows must return to the UK within two years of the conclusion of the fellowship for a period of at least two years.
