Call summary

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology, through EIT RawMaterials, invites applications for its upscaling projects call. This supports the development of raw materials related projects based on validated technologies that need additional step for upscaling, demonstration or implementation. Upscaling projects must aim for market introduction or a commercial use within three years after the end of project. Proposals should ideally focus on the topics of circular societies, sustainable materials or responsible sourcing. The technology must be at Technology Readiness Level of at least 6 at the beginning of the project, and have reached a TRL of at least 8 by the end of the project. Grants are at least €500,000 per year and up to €2 million for the duration of the project, with funding covering up to 70 per cent of the total eligible project costs.

Eligibility Note All organisations that are eligible for funding under the Horizon Europe programme can apply. Core or associate partners of EIT RawMaterials, or linked third parties, may apply as lead applicants. Consortia must consist of at least two organisations from a minimum of two different countries. The consortia must also include KIC partners from at least two sides of the knowledge triangle of education, research and industry and business. Non-members are eligible if they submit an EIT RawMaterials membership.
