Call summary
Innovate UK through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, invites applications for its power electronics machines and drives manufacturing scale-up: strand 1, adopting manufacturing best practice funding opportunity. This supports adopting manufacturing best practice projects that enable the scale-up of PEMD manufacturing to develop a resilient, cross-sectoral, UK supply chain for these enabling technologies critical for net zero. Grants are worth between £50,000 and £400,000 each. Up to 70% of project costs are funded for industrial research projects. (Forecasted date).

PI eligibility
UK registered businesses of any size may apply as project lead. Academic institutions cannot lead or work alone. To collaborate with the lead the organisations must be a UK registered business of any size, academic institution, charity, not for profit, public sector organisation, or research and technology organisation. The project can include partners that do not receive any of this competition's funding, for example non-UK businesses. Subcontractors are allowed in this competition, but are limited to no more than 20% of the organisation's total eligible costs.
