Call summary

The European Institute of Innovation and Technology, through EIT Digital, invites proposals for its open innovation factory programme. This supports early-stage digital DeepTech activities developed by corporates, research and technology organisations and/or universities, together with early-stage ventures that have demonstrated market and investor traction and can leverage the programme to boost their growth even further. The maximum EIT Digital funding that can be allocated per Innovation Activity proposal is €400,000, while the overall budget for this cut-off is €2,5 million. The activity partners own contribution (co-funding) must be at least 50 per cent of the activity’s budget.

Scientific scope

Proposals must fall under one of the following areas: digital tech; digital cities; digital industry; digital wellbeing; digital finance.

PI eligibility

Applicant type Academic Institution; Commercial or Private Sector; Government or Public Sector; Individuals: Early Career and Emerging in Field; Individuals: Mid-Career to Established in Field Eligibility Note Proposals must be submitted by a team of two to four complementary organisations from at least two different European countries. The venture to be boosted has been incorporated between 1 January 2019 and the submission date and is not a subsidiary of another company or is not controlled by another company.
