Innovate UK, GB and other funders: Biomedical catalyst – industry-led R&D

Innovate UK invites applications for its biomedical catalyst – industry-led R&D call. These enable companies to develop innovative solutions to a health and healthcare challenge. The total budget is £25 million. Projects may last between six to 36 months. The projects total eligible costs must be between £150,000 and £4m. Funding is worth up to 70 per cent. (Forecasted date).

Your project can focus on any health or healthcare sector or discipline including: biosciences advanced therapies, gene and cell therapies diagnostic, medical technology and devices digital health independent living and wellbeing precision medicine preclinical technologies and drug target discovery therapeutic and medicine development data driven health consumer health preventative health

UK registered micro or SMEs or businesses of any size may apply. However, only SMEs can work alone on projects and collaborations must include at least one UK registered SME. UK registered businesses of any size, academic institutions, charities, not-for-profits, public sector organisations and research and technology organisations may collaborate with the lead. The project lead must carry out all of the project work in the UK and intend to exploit the results from or in the UK.
