The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites applications for its discipline hopping in information and communications technologies scheme. This enables researchers with a background in ICT to use their skills in a new discipline, or for researchers with other expertise to learn ICT research skills and apply them in their home discipline. Funding covers 80 per cent of the full economic costs of the project, which may last for between three and 24 months. Funding supports salary of the PI, travel and subsistence, a co-investigator at the host institution to provide the necessary training and guidance, consumables to carry out the research, and spending on broadening the impact of the discipline-hop.
