Call summary
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, in collaboration with the National Science Foundation in the US, invites proposals for their lead agency agreement. This supports international collaborative work between researchers based at the two organisations. Proposals will be accepted for collaborative research in areas at the intersection of NSF Directorate for Engineering and the EPSRC Engineering, Information and Communication Technologies or Manufacturing the Future themes’ remits. Multidisciplinary research is encouraged, however, the balance of research on the UK side must be within the interests of the Engineering, ICT or Manufacturing the Future themes. Proposals are expected to adhere to typical proposal sizes and durations for the NSF ENG and EPSRC programmes from which funding is sough.

PI eligibility
A single joint proposal to EPSRC may be submitted from eligible applicants in both countries. Expressions of interest may be submitted to either EPSRC or NSF depending on where the largest proportion of the research lies.
