Call summary
The Explorers Club invites pre-applications for its discovery expedition grants. These support researchers and explorers in undertaking fieldwork or exploratory projects that reveal new knowledge about the planet and its inhabitants, including regions undergoing environmental or cultural change. The aim is also to provide recipients with a platform to illuminate their findings, without restrictions on scientific publication or infringement on ownership of research. Grants are worth between USD 25,000 and USD 40,000 each generally for one year.
Scientific scope
The following disciplines will be considered: biological sciences, archaeology, anthropology, paleontology, earth sciences, ecology, and astronomy.
PI eligibility
Candidates may be based anywhere in the world.
