Call summary
This supports applications that cut across national boundaries and involve international collaborative teams from the UK and Brazil. Proposals may be submitted in any area of science within the remit of both supporting organisations. Projects may last up to 5 years. BBSRC will award 80% of the full economic costs of the research, and the applicant's organisation must agree to find the balance.

PI eligibility
UK principal applicants must be employed at the submitting research organisation at lecturer level, or equivalent, or due to move to the organisation before the start date of the grant. Or if not employed, applicants must have an agreement that the research will be conducted at the submitting research organisation as if they were an employee at lecturer level, or equivalent. Brazilian partners must be based at a public or non-profit higher education or research organisation in the State of São Paulo. Industrial partners are encouraged on all research grant applications.
