Call summary

The European Commission Horizon Europe: Excellent Science European Research Council invites proposals for its ERC-2023-PoC proof-of-concept grants. These aim to maximise the value of ERC-funded research by funding further work to verify the innovation potential of ideas arising from ERC-funded projects. All principal investigators in an ERC frontier research project, that is either ongoing or has ended less than one year before 1 January 2023, may apply. The host institution must engage the PI for at least the duration of the project and must be established in an EU member state or associated country as a legal entity. The total budget is €30 million. Grants are worth €150,000 each over 18 months.

All principal investigators in an ERC frontier research project, that is either ongoing or has ended less than one year before 1 January 2020, may apply. The host institution must engage the PI for at least the duration of the project and must be established in an EU member state or associated country as a legal entity. Applicants may be of any nationality and be residing in any country at the time of application.
