Call summary

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology invites nominations for the Pappalardo fellowships in physics. These support young physicists in undertaking a three-year fellowship within the MIT department of physics. Fellowships include an annual stipend, research funds of USD 10,000 per year and health insurance coverage for fellows and their dependents. Faculty and senior researchers within the international community of physics, astronomy or related fields may nominate. Nominees must be at the beginning of their careers and currently have or be due to receive a doctoral degree in physics, astronomy or a related field by 1 September 2023. Self-nominations are not accepted.
