Call summary
Innovate UK, in collaboration with the National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP), invites entries for its Canada UK Commercialising Quantum Technology Programme: CR&D. This supports UK and Canadian joint research and development projects that will advance the development of quantum technologies and enable their commercial use cases. The aim of this competition is to strengthen collaborative research and development (CR&D) through Canadian and UK partnerships towards commercialising quantum technologies. The total grant for all UK partners can be up to GBP 450,000 for each application. NRC IRAP will provide a contribution of up to CAD 500,000 to each eligible Canadian SME participating in the project. Projects may last between 12 and 24 months.

PI eligibility
The collaboration must consist of one UK registered businesses of any size and one Canadian small or medium sized enterprise (SMEs) to be an eligible collaboration. UK and Canadian academic institutions and research and technology organisations (RTOs) cannot apply as lead applicants, but may participate as a partner organisation.
