Call summary
The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council invites applications for its synthetic biology postdoctoral fellowships. These support research focusing on the engineering challenges of delivering synthetic biology as a mature technology. There is no limit on how much funding can be requested. EPSRC covers 80 per cent of the full economic costs. Fellowships are tenable for up to three years.
Scientific scope
Eligible projects can use one or a combination of:
▪discovery science;
▪innovation;
▪instrumentation and technique development;
▪software engineering.
PI eligibility
Applicants must either hold a PhD or have at least four years' experience in a relevant field by the start of the fellowship. Fellowships are tenable at eligible UK HEIs, research council institutes, UKRI-approved independent research organisations and NHS bodies with research capacity.
