The English-Speaking Union invites applications for the Lindemann Trust fellowships. These enable postdoctoral scientists who have shown promise and capacity to produce original research in the applied sciences and to carry out research at a host institution in the US. Fields of research include astronomy, biophysics, chemistry, engineering, geology, geophysics, mathematics and physics. Up to five fellowships, worth USD 50,000 each over two years, plus £1,000 towards each fellow’s airfare are available. *** This opportunity will be available soon. PI eligibility
Applicants must be British, Irish or Commonwealth citizens, normally resident in the UK. They must be in the final stages of doctoral studies at a UK university or have completed a doctorate at a UK university within the last three academic years. Successful fellows must return to the UK within two years of the conclusion of the fellowship for a period of at least two years.
