Call summary

Innovate UK and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, through the industrial energy transformation fund, invite applications for their call for deployment projects. This supports energy efficiency deployment projects that improve the energy efficiency of an industrial process, and deep decarbonisation deployment projects that reduce the emissions generated by an industrial process. Grants for energy efficiency projects are worth between £100,000 and £14 million, while grants for decarbonisation projects are worth between £100,000 and £30m. Funding amounts depend on the type of the organisation.

PI eligibility

Industrial businesses of any size can apply, either on their own or in collaboration with other organisations. The lead applicant must operate at an eligible site in England, Wales or Northern Ireland at which the project is carried out. Lead applicants may collaborate with other businesses, research organisations, research and technology organisations, academic institutions or public sector organisations which must all be registered in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and must carry out project work in England, Wales or Northern Ireland. Applicants may include multiple projects within the application. Subcontractors are allowed.
