Innovate UK, GB and other funders: Health and Life Science Accelerators: Expression of Interest

Innovate UK invites applications for its Health and life science accelerators: expression of interest call. This supports he development of early-stage health and life science businesses in the UK by funding a series of business accelerators. The aim is to recruit accelerator providers to deliver a series of health and life sciences focussed accelerators. Successful applicants will join a pool of Accelerator Providers. Projects will be eligible for funding of up to £500,000 for each accelerator. Up to ten accelerators are expected to be funded. The organisations undertaking non-economic activity as part of the project can share up to 100 per cent of the total eligible project costs.

The subject theme areas can include but are not limited to: •child health; •FemTech; •engineering biology; •neuroscience and neurotech; •microbiome and biofilm innovation; •MedTech and diagnostics;

To lead an application organisations must be a UK registered business of any size, academic institution, public sector research establishment, research council institute, independent research organisation, not for profit research and technology organisation, including catapults. To collaborate with the lead, organisations must be invited by the lead and be one of the following UK registered business of any size, academic institution, research council institute, charity, not for profit, public sector organisation, or research and technology organisation. Subcontractors are allowed in this competition.
