Call summary
The Barth Syndrome Foundation invites proposals for its development grants. These support basic science, translational and clinical research on the natural history, biochemical basis and treatment of Barth syndrome. Funding is available as seed grants for testing initial hypotheses and the collection of preliminary data that may lead to successful long-term funding by major granting institutions. Grants are worth up to USD 100,000 over two to three years. Travel costs are excluded from the budget and handled separately.

PI eligibility
Applicants must be independent investigators. Young, non-tenured investigators are allowed to include up to 75 per cent of the direct costs as principal investigator salary. Postdoctoral fellows are not eligible.
