Call summary
The Natural Environment Research Council and the Met Office invite applications for its improving model representation of turbulent atmospheric processes call. This supports projects which improve forecasts of extreme weather events and help the UK better manage weather-related risk using research into atmospheric turbulent processes or representations in kilometre and sub-kilometre scale weather and climate models. The total budget is £5.1 million. The full economic cost of the project can be up to £1.12m for a science theme project and £1.87m for an observational component project. NERC will fund 80 per cent of the full economic cost.
