Call summary
The Ministry of Defence, under the Defence and Security Accelerator programme and in partnership with Innovate UK, invites proposals for its rapid impact innovation call. This supports defence and security innovation projects, which have a realistic prospect of achieving an impact within a three-year time frame from the commencement of the project. There is an expectation that proposals will be funded only if there is a strong customer requirement and capability need for the idea. Rapid impact innovations proposals are expected to output a technology model or prototype demonstration at technology readiness level 6 or 7, at a limited scale in the hands of end users, and in the context or environment in which it is expected that they would use the solution. No funding limit is specified, however grants are typically worth between £100,000 and £350,000.

PI eligibility
Applications are open to all organisation types and individuals. There are no nationality restrictions. Collaborations are particularly encouraged.
