Call summary

The Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the German Research Foundation (DFG) invites applications for their call to attend a UK and German terahertz collaboration workshop. This aims to enhance UK and German terahertz research collaboration by participating in a workshop with DFG focusing on terahertz, due to take place between 10 and 11 October 2022 in Wuppertal, Germany. The total budget is £10,000. Up to 10 places are available with funding worth up to £1,000 each. EPSRC will fund 100 per cent of travel and subsistence costs only, for attendance to the workshop.

PI eligibility

Applicants must be resident in the UK and be either employed at the submitting research organisation at a level equivalent to postdoctoral researcher or above, or hold a fixed-term contract that extends beyond the workshop date and the host research organisation is prepared to give them all the support normal for a permanent employee. Holders of postdoctoral level fellowships are eligible to apply for this opportunity. Eligible submitting research organisation may be UK HEIs, research council institutes, UKRI-approved independent research organisations, eligible public sector research establishments, or NHS bodies with research capacity. Applications from early career researchers, people who identify as women, people who identify as part of an ethnic minority group, people with a disability, and other groups who are currently under-represented are encouraged.
