The US Department of Energy, under its Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, invites applications for its Energyshed - exploring place-based generation funding opportunity. This supports innovative research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) projects that accelerate the large-scale development and deployment of renewable energy to support an equitable transition to a decarbonized electricity system by 2035 and net-zero emissions economy by 2050. The total budget is USD 10,000,000 to fund between 2 and 5 awards. Individual awards are worth between USD 2 and 5 million for a period of 12 to 36 months.
