The International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology invites applications for its focused meetings grants. These support the organisation of focused meetings that cover cutting edge science of clear relevance to biochemistry and molecular biology. Meetings are encouraged on a worldwide basis, but geographical areas where biochemists and molecular biologists are in need of support are prioritised. They should take place in, and the organisers should be resident in, a country with an IUBMB adhering body or associate adhering body. Attendance at the meetings must be open to applicants of all nationalities, should normally have between 100 and 300 participants and last from three to five days. Support is worth up to USD 60,000 per event.
